Throughout his career, Khalil Khay has shown dedication and commitment to high quality collaborative education and instructional leadership. This is evident in his leadership of school teams, professional learning for principals and executives and in his passionate support of lifelong learning. With over 30 years in education, Khalil has served to improve student learning, professional learning, instructional leadership, and socio-emotional outcomes across NSW. His experience involves work across the early childhood, P/K-12 and university sectors and includes roles in teaching, mentoring and senior leadership capacities. Khalil has also been a university councillor.
His collaboration with tertiary colleagues has embedded new theoretical insights and recent research findings into his work as a leader. Khalil has provided consultancy and advice to university thinktanks and government agencies; his breadth of knowledge across effective curriculum, leadership practice, engagement with the community and students learning pathways being vast.
